BioComm: Biology in a Community Context
BioComm is a full-year Biology course covering all core topics, with correlations to national and state standards available on the website. BioComm covers far more than biology. It teaches how biology connects with Technology, Society, the Environment and the student. In each of the eight thought-provoking units, a real-world issue is presented. Students conduct Guided Inquiries and Extended Inquiries. From their results, students interpret the information and apply their knowledge to the issues. Supported during its development by the National Science Foundation, this link is to the publisher's website.
