Project-Based Inquiry Science: PBIS
Project-Based Inquiry Science is a middle school curriculum project based on students thinking like and being scientists. PBIS was created to provide an atmosphere of deeper more sustained learning than has traditionally been found in middle school classrooms. In PBIS the context is provided by the "Big Challenges" and "Big Questions" found in each unit. In the context of these questions and challenges students learn content deeply. They also learn in ways that scientists learn: through designing and running experiments, as well as by sharing their ideas with each other. This is a publisher's (It's About Time) website.
