IT Across Careers
The IT Across Careers (ITAC) project has developed resources that promote broader learning and implementation of information technology (IT) knowledge and skills. The ITAC project goal is to support information and communication technology (ICT) fluency for all learners and nurture the interests and talents of all users and producers of ICT. It has developed a common curricular framework and resources for teaching the basic (core) IT applications across all program or career areas. Its library of resources provide a common, skills-based structure. Primary products include: IT core applications rubrics; scenario-based lesson templates; sample scenarios and lessons; and a searchable database of supporting resources. The materials are appropriate for: students re-entering the workforce; students in need of retraining as IT-enabled workers; and instructors looking to transition from IT users to IT integrators.
