Minds On Physics
Minds-On Physics is a one-year curriculum for high school physics. Its design was guided by educational research findings. The curriculum is driven by activities rather than by a textbook. Students learn to analyze physical situations conceptually, thereby improving both their understanding and problem-solving ability. Although this curriculum is activity-based, there are no traditional labs. Students work together using simple equipment to learn about fundamental physical concepts and principles and how to apply them properly. This approach encourages students to explore and communicate their thoughts about motion, interactions, forces, momentum, energy, and other concepts to their peers, refining ideas and allowing the instructor to sharpen them.
