Writing in Science
The Expository Writing and Science Notebooks Program was first developed and implemented in 1999 as a model of professional development and support for teachers. The program was designed so that students would (a) develop their conceptual understanding, scientific skills, and scientific thinking; (b) improve their skills in expository writing; (c) and enhance their performance on state tests in science and expository writing.
